Jessica Schilder: "This one is for you guys!"
Today I was reminded of something very special. After a couple of rough days and some unforeseen circumstances I wasn’t able to go to Split, Croatia (No worries, two negative PCR-tests). However I decided I still wanted to compete.
Therefore I want to thank 'Ter Specke Bokaal' for letting me participate last minute! Without you guys, I wouldn’t have competed today. Doing my thing in cold, rainy, not ideal, circumstances I was reminded why I love this sport so much. Not because of the medals (maybe a bit 😉) , but because I simply love to throw a heavy weight far.
The feeling, the rhythm, even the people. It all makes it so so special. I want to thank everyone who was able to make this miserable week a little bit better. Keep on smiling even when you don’t want to. Thank you all for supporting me on this journey. It not only makes me a better athlete, but also a better person.
This one is for you guys!
